Abhinav Mukund to miss Duleep Trophy opener

Meanwhile, all-rounder Parveez Rasool is on Haj Pilgrimage and will miss out on the India Green’s opening match.
India Red captain Abhinav Mukund did not travel to Lucknow due to Illness and will miss the tournament opener against India Green.
Wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has appointed to lead India Red in Mukund’s absence.
The pacer had informed the apex body about his unavailability immediately after the squads were picked one week ago.
Ishant was to represent India Blue for this edition.
Another player to miss out is pacer Ishant Sharma, who current plying trade in County cricket in England.
Kanpur and Lucknow will host the 56-year old tournament and it will feature 45 players.
But, the tournament fixture doesn’t seem to have gone well with the players and as many as 10 players have informed the BCCI about their unavailability at least for the opening fixtures of the pink ball affair.
After initially failing to find its place in BCCI’s domestic calendar in 2017, Duleep Trophy is finally back.
The Duleep Trophy tournament will begin on September 7 and the final match is scheduled to be played on September 25.
