New Shepard is a fully autonomous spacecraft which didn't have any Blue Origin staff astronauts during its maiden human spaceflight. The New Shepherd's rocket-and-capsule is named after 1961 Astronaut Alan Shepherd. The five-storey high New Shepard rocket has been designed in such a way that it can fly to space with six people.
