The one-hour feature, 'Jai Hind', which will be shown daily in Hindi and English, spans three monuments on the premises — Naubat Khana, Deewan-e-Aam, and Deewan-e-Khas — and tells the story of India's cultural and political history over the millennia. (Image Source: PTI)
The show has been prepared by the Dalmia Bharat group, which had adopted the monument under the Tourism Ministry’s ambitious scheme ‘Adopt a Heritage’ in December 2018. (Image Source: PTI)

A voice personifying the red sandstone walls started the show by commenting on India's scientific and cultural advancements, noting that today's era differs from past ones because everybody forced to be silent and listen can now speak in this country. (Image Source: PTI)
The walls were then projected with virtual bricks being heaped to represent Shah Jahan's construction of the Red Fort, with a voice proclaiming, Mughals who made me, came as guests but came to belong to this land. (Image Source: PTI)
The tale began with a gigantic puppet held up by men, covering the Delhi Sultanate and Mughal Empire. In a re-enactment of the emperor's darbar at Deewan-e-Aam, another sculpture of Shah Jahan 'inaugurated' the fort. (Image Source: PTI)
The reign of the Marathas came next and the prestige of the Kohinoor diamond was weaved into the story. (Image Source: PTI)
The attention was then shifted to the Indian independence struggle, which was enlivened by the motivational and sometimes emotional speeches of Chandrasekhar Azad, Mahatma Gandhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru. (Image Source: PTI)
The show closed with a rousing rendition of the national anthem, a moment of pride to top off such an unforgettable event. Red Fort became a live pulsating portal to history with great narrative and master light-sound methods, even if only for a short time. The Red Fort's sound and light display is a must-see for foreign tourists who want to learn about India's history in a fun and exciting way. (Image Source: PTI)
