According to PTI, officials from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) announced on Wednesday that each RRTS train will include a general coach designed to accommodate a medical stretcher and a wheelchair, a feature aimed at making the journey easier for those in need of medical attention.

2

In addition to this thoughtful provision within the trains, certain lifts at RRTS stations have been extended to provide extra space, enabling the comfortable accommodation of stretchers.

3

This patient-centric approach is expected to be a boon for individuals seeking medical treatment, such as at AIIMS and other hospitals in Delhi, who often travel from Meerut to the national capital.

4

The eagerly anticipated 17-kilometer priority section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Corridor is scheduled to open its doors to passengers on October 21, a day following its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Sahibabad station.

5

The inauguration event is also expected to witness the Prime Minister taking a ride on a RAPIDX train, India's pioneering semi-high-speed regional rail service.

6

The priority section, spanning from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot, boasts five stations, namely Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot, with the last segment being a spur from the main corridor.

7

An official source informed PTI, A day after the inauguration of the priority section, passenger services will commence on the morning of October 21. RAPIDX trains will operate between 6 am and 11 pm, initially offering a train every 15 minutes, with the possibility of increased frequency in the future, depending on demand.
