View In AppAs per updates by news agency ANI on the recent round of talks between farmer unions and government, Centre has given written response of the minutes of the meeting to the farmers’ leaders.
During 5th round of talks, farmers' representatives asked the Central government to give a pointwise written reply of the last meeting, to which the central government agreed. 'The government should make a decision on our demands, otherwise, we are walking out of the meeting', farmer leaders participating in the fifth round of talks with the Central Government said, as quoted by ANI.
Meanwhile, Farmer leaders, present at the fifth round of talks with the Central Government, had food that they carried to the venue. They had got their own food even during 4th round of talks held on December 3.
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar post the talks with farmers' representatives said that the governmnet will consider all their aspects. It would've been easier for us to find a solution if we get suggestions from farmers' leaders.
With the farmers' group going on a 'maun vrat' (vow of silence), the meeting on Saturday once again remained inconclusive. Hence, the government proposed to hold another meeting on December 9 with representatives of protesting farmers.
Irate farmers protesting the new farm laws held the third this week and fifth overall- talks with the central government at Vigyan Bhawan on Saturday. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Railways, Commerce and Food Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Parkash, held talks with the representatives of 40 farmers' unions at the Vigyan Bhawan in the national capital.
