Delhi's maximum temperature on Sunday settled at 34.1 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest day of the season so far, the India Meteorological Department said.

On March 30, 2021, Delhi recorded the maximum temperature of 40.1 degrees Celsius which was the hottest day of the season then, PTI reported.
On Monday, the maximum temperature settled at 33.4 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average, the India Meteorological Department said.
The city recorded a minimum temperature of 17.1 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. Humidity levels oscillated between 34 per cent and 88 per cent.
Kuldeep Srivastava, Regional Head, IMD Delhi, said thunderstorm and lightning was expected in plain areas of North-West India on night of March 16, March 17 and 18.
