8. Activate all five senses.-Focusing on the here and now is one of the easiest methods to maintain mindfulness. Take a moment to pause your current task and take in your surroundings. What sounds are you hearing? Which smells are you detecting? What actions are those around you taking? To practise bringing your thoughts to the present now, wherever you are and whatever you're doing, focus all of your attention there and spend a few moments observing it through your five senses. 9. Count- Using your senses, the 5-4-3-2-1 mindfulness exercise helps you stay rooted in the here and now. Look around you and identify five objects. Touch: Identify four sensations. Hear: Pay attention to three noises. Smell: Pick up on two aromas. Taste: Pick just one flavour. Take a moment to pause, carefully open each sense, and pay attention to the intricate details. Include it in your regular routine or use it as a tool to help you stay present in the moment. (Image source: getty images)
10. Instead of multitasking, which frequently leads to stress and lower productivity, concentrate on single-tasking. One task at a time requires all of your focus, and you'll probably find that you're more productive and less stressed.(Image source: getty images:)
