Ramoji Rao, founder of Eenadu and Ramoji Film City, was laid to rest on Sunday in Hyderabad.

View In AppRamoji Rao, 87, passed away early Saturday while receiving treatment at Star Hospital in Hyderabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu and other leaders and dignitaries condoled his death.
The funeral was done with full state honours from Telagana government and saw the attendance of numerous dignitaries including N Chandrababu Naidu.Naidu was seen carring Rao's mortal remains for the funeral.
Ramoji Rao's last rites took place at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, with state honours from the Telagana government. Additionally, Andhra Pradesh delcared state mourning on Sunday and Monday( June 9 and 10)
Ramoji Rao's contributions to the fields of media, business, literature and society will be remembered by generations to come. Reckoned as a 'legend in Telugu cinema', his film venture and Asia's largest film production facility has given Indian cinema blockbusters like 'Baahubali', 'RRR' and several more.
Ramoji Rao's demise has saddened the film industries. From celebrities to politicians and fans, everyone has moruned the sudden death of an icon that Rao was.
