Rashami Desai, Amol Palekar, Akanksha Puri Join Rahul Gandhi In Bharat Jodo Yatra. See Pics

Television actors Rashami Desai and Akanksha Puri joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his Bharat Jodo Yatra on Saturday.

Both the actors joined Rahul in the Maharashtra leg of his yatra. Pictures and videos of their walk have been shared on social media.

Congress' Twitter page shared photo and video of the two actors with Rahul and Rashami wrote in reply, “Such a beautiful and simple thought but the execution is so difficult...” She added the hashtags ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and ‘Shakti Walk’.

Akanksha too posted pictures on social media and wrote, “So happy to be a part of #BharatJodoYatra with @RahulGandhi on the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi ji #staystrong #stayunited #stayconnected.”

Rashami Desai has featured in shows such as ‘Uttaran’ and ‘Bigg Boss’. Akanksha Puri was last seen in ‘Mika Di Vohti’ and she won the show.

On Sunday, veteran actor Amol Palekar and his wife, writer-filmmaker Sandhya Gokhale, participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in in Maharashtra's Buldhana district.

The couple joined Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi on the last day of the foot march's Maharashtra leg from where it will enter Madhya Pradesh at night.

The official handle of the Indian National Congress shared a series of pictures of Palekar and Gokhale with Gandhi. Realising his responsibility towards the country, today famous actor and film director Amol Palekar along with his wife joined #BharatJodoYatra to discharge it. Thank you for raising the voice of the country, the tweet read.

Earlier, , Pooja Bhatt, Riya Sen and others also joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Hyderabad and Maharashtra respectively.

Bharat Jodo Yatra began on September 7 from Kanyakumari, will end in Kashmir next year. It has covered parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra. (All images: Twitter)
