Meet Geraldine Viswanathan, Australian Actress With Indian Roots Makes Her Mark In Marvel’s Thunderbolts

Australian actress Geraldine Viswanathan plays Mel, the assistant to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

Geraldine is best known for her roles in Blockers and Bad Education.

Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Geraldine is 29 years old with Indian-Swiss heritage.

Her father, Suresh Viswanathan, is a doctor of Tamil descent, while her mother, Anja Raith, is Swiss and has a background in the arts.

Geraldine’s acting career began at age 4, appearing in a commercial.

At 15, her family moved to California, where she pursued roles in television and secured a manager.

She earned the Heath Ledger Scholarship and made her onscreen debut in 2016’s Emo the Musical.

Geraldine became widely known for her role in the Australian series Janet King.

Her breakout year was 2018, when she starred in Blockers and appeared in The Package and Hala.
