View In AppAfter almost five months of Covid lockdown metro services around the country started operations from Monday, September 7. Various Covid 19 safety measures are in place including frequent sanitisation of the premises, use of only smart card and social distancing markers. Here are photos of how the first day looks.

Noida Metro's Aqua Line has also started operations from today. A report by PTI says that commuters without face masks in the Noida-Greater Noida metro rail network will have to pay a fine of Rs 500 while those caught spitting will be fined Rs 100. Image (ANI)
The Lucknow Metro services have resumed from 7 AM on Monday. Emphasis has been placed on contact less journey and for this commuters can only use smart cards for entry. Image (ANI)
