Volvo Launches C40 Recharge Electric SUV In India. See Pics

View In AppThe C40 Recharge has a range of 530km via the WLTP cycle with a 78kWh battery pack. This is significantly more than the XC40 Recharge and the ICAT range is also an impressive 683km for the C40 Recharge while the WLTP is more of a real-world indication. The C40 Recharge has two electric motors which develop 408hp and 660 Nm of torque which means that it does 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. The top speed of the C40 Recharge is capped at 180 km/h. Inside, the C40 Recharge has a 9inch portrait touch screen similar to the XC40 and has a leather free cabin while it also has a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. Other features include a Google based infotainment system, a panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, 360 degree camera, dual zone climate control, heated and cooled seats plus with being powered, 360 degree camera view, connected car tech and more. Deliveries will begin from September and Volvo will supply a 11kw AC charger wallbox and bookings can be done for Rs 1 lakh via the Volvo car India website. The C40 Recharge will compete with many luxury EVs notably the EV6 from Kia in this price range and the Ioniq 5 from Hyundai while SUVs like the EQB from Mercedes-Benz are priced slightly higher.
