View In AppThe Vellfire is huge but has not grown a lot over the earlier model so as to remain practical in terms of using it in cities. It is just below 5,000 mm or less in length, and 1,850 mm or less in width. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
The change though is the aggressive styling which is different and you get a huge grille upfront plus black detailing for an aggressive look. Another highlight is the Super-Long Overhead Console where occupants in any seat can open windows on the opposite side of the vehicle and to adjust the lighting. This replaces the previous set-up. The new Vellfire also gets right and left-hand-side sliding doors plus a side step which emerges 220 mm above ground. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
Further additions include a new moonroof where there is independently operable right and left-side shades which means that passengers can choose to see the sky while others choose to block out the sunlight. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
There is a new TNGA platform (GA-K) now and overhauled suspension with a focus on more comfort. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
The interior is all new with a large touchscreen and new dials along with a cleaner layout with less switchgear. The hybrid system now has a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder DOHC engine with 185PS and it can deliver 17.5 kmpl for the 2WD version. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
There are driver assist features as well and we expect Toyota to bring the new generation model sometime next year knowing how much popular the current version is. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
