View In AppIn terms of dimensions, the XUV400 is above 4m with a length of 4200mm, width of 1821mm and a wheelbase of 2600mm. The boot space is 418 litres. The new blue colour can be seen and the XUV400 also has a different bumper design at the front along with the new twin peaks SUV logo. The rear styling gets new wrap around tail-lamps and new tailgate design. The interior gets features like OTA updates, large touchscreen, sunroof, 60 plus connected car tech features, 6 airbags, all around disc brakes and more. The XUV400 gets a 39.4 kW battery pack and has a range of 456km (ARAI) with a claimed 0-100 km/h of 8.3 seconds. Top speed is 150 km/h. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
The battery pack is locally made in Chakan, Pune and meets IP67 standards while being tested for our conditions The XUV400 is also DC fast charger compliant with 0-80 percent in 50 minutes. When charged via a 7.2 kW/32A outlet, it takes 6 hours 30 minutes for 0-100% charge and the same is achieved in 13 hours while using a standard 3.3 kW/16A domestic socket. The torque is also 310Nm which is higher than rivals, which makes it the fastest Indian electric SUV. (Image: Somnath Chatterjee)
There is regenerative braking, one pedal driving and three drive modes too. Other features include OTA updates, Available in five colours: Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue with dual tone roof option in Satin Copper finish The pricing and launch would be from January next year.
