New Delhi: In yet another instance proving age is just a number, 62-year-old Bangalore resident, Nagaratnamma, braved all odds to climb one of the most difficult peaks of the Western Ghats.


The video, shared on social media platform, Instagram, by Vishnu, that has gone viral, shows Nagaratnamma climbing to the top of the peak, Agasthya Koodam, situated in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.


The incredible and truly inspirational video shows the 62-year-old climbing the peak with the help of a rope, that too wearing a saree.


Sharing the video, Vishnu wrote the caption, that reads, “One of the highest and toughest hiking peaks in the Sahyadri mountain range. This is Nagaratnamma doing rope climbing on 16th February 2022. She came with her son and friends from Bangalore. This was her first trip outside Karnataka. She said for the last 40 years after her marriage she had been busy with family responsibilities. Now, since her children have all grown up and settled down, she can pursue her dreams. Nobody could match her enthusiasm and energy. It was one of the most motivating and enriching experiences for all those who watched her climb.”






The video clip also received a flurry of applause from the netizens as people couldn’t believe their eyes after watching her climb up the tough peak. Many wrote about how enthusiasm is all one needs to achieve anything.
