In a bid to gain some instant fame, people often undertake bizarre challenges. And in today's world of social media it is even more easy to gain public attention. In one such incident, a man from Philadelphia in the United States undertook an unusual food challenge to bring joy to people.

Alexander Tominsky, a 31-year-old server planned to eat rotisserie chicken for 30 days in a row and started documenting his entire journey. Later he extended the challenge for 10 more days.

After completeing the challenge Tominsky called it an attempt to bring others joy and a bit of entertainment. "This is just a little bit of an inconvenience and a sacrifice for the joy that it seems to be bringing people," he said to The New York Times.

Tominsky started documenting his entire journey on twitter by posting updates of him eating the chicken at different locations.

"I would like to Invite you all on a journey that I am on. I am eating a rotisserie chicken every day for 30 days. Today is day 11. I will keep you all updated as I get closer to my goal. Thank you," he wrote while sharing a picture of himself with a chicken on October 9.

He completed the 40-day challenge on November 6. But before completing the task he posted posters around the city welcoming the public to witness his final chicken meal on a pier on the Delaware River. Now, he is also known as the "Philadelphia Chicken Man."

Reportedly, Tominsky claimed to have lost about 16 pounds since undertaking the challenge, as chicken was largely the only meal for him in the day.
