New Delhi: In an unpleasant incident that took place in Bengaluru, a man named Vikas Gowda took to the micro-blogging site to share his bad experience after he was forced to leave Ola cab when some rowdies threaten the driver to pay up his past installments. Despite this, Vikas also had to pay more money. He said that if this is how his emergency team works then cab ride is not safe for women, families at all. “*WARNING. AVOID @Olacabs AT ALL COST*”, the tweet started on a firm note.

“Had booked an outstation trip with @moon_natz and her parents to travel back to Mysore. An hour and a half into the trip, some rowdies come in their two-wheelers and create a blockade. These rowdies / collection agents threaten the driver to pay up his past installments right at that moment else they'll confiscate the vehicle. They even ask my family members to get down and figure out our ride ahead,” he added.

Vikas said that when all this was happening, he was constantly talking to the emergency helpline number given by the cab company. When he explained the whole situation, the customer care agent instead of helping, advised him to book another cab and complete his journey.

"If this is the quality of their emergency response team, after all the untoward incidents that have happened in the ride-hailing space, we still are a long way away from making our cab rides safe for women, families and generally people,” Vikas wrote with concern.

After this post written by Vikas on Twitter went viral, Ola Cabs reacted by issuing an apology in the comment section.

"We hope you and your family reached home safely. We understand how upsetting this is and want to make sure this is taken care of. Since you've already shared the required details, the relevant team will reach out to you with assistance without any further delay,” they wrote.
