New Delhi: Twenty years ago, when Gloria Weberg turned 80, she got herself a tattoo, her first. It was a goddess on her left arm. Ten years later, at 90, she got seven stars tattooed on the same arm. Weberg is going to be 100 on March 2, and she has already got a new tattoo inked — it says “NY NY 1922”, celebrating the year and city of her birth.

Her son Brian Weberg posted on Facebook a photo of her proudly showing off her tattooed arm.

Weberg now lives in St. Joseph, Michigan, where she moved 30 years ago along with her husband who died later, according to an AP report.

It said Weberg, a social worker, and her husband raised their family in the Chicago area, and she got a college degree from Chicago State University at the age of 55.

So, what’s the secret of her longevity?

“...being active,” Weberg was quoted as saying. “To be aware of what’s going on in the world in every way, from what my children were doing, their education, how important that was to me.”

Eat half, walk double, laugh triple and love without measure — she has this Tibetan proverb taped near her kitchen sink, and this reminds her about how to live a longer life in a happy way, The Herald-Palladium reported.

At 100, she does her own cooking and cleaning.

The AP report said she also regularly enjoys a glass of red wine, and performs aerobics while watching TV news.

What will be her tattoo at age 110?

“Probably something like, ‘Are you still here?’ or ‘I’m still here,’” Weberg said.
