New Delhi: A passenger in Maharashtra who slid while attempting to board a moving train was saved in the nick of time owing to the fast thinking of Railway Protection Force personnel.


When the passenger was attempting to board a train at Maharashtra's Vasai station, he lost his balance and fell into the platform gap. The passenger might have suffered terrible injuries if it hadn't been for RPF Jawan's quick thinking.

"Maharashtra: An RPF (Railway Protection Force) jawan rescued a passenger who fell down on the railway platform while trying to board a moving train at Vasai Railway Station on 23rd January," ANI tweeted along with a short video clip.






Earlier, in a similar accident on January 21 at Dadar station in Mumbai, a passenger slipped while boarding a moving local train.


It was the vigilance and alertness of Railway TC Nagendra Mishra who dragged the passenger away and saved his life.


"The vigilance and alertness of Railway TC saved the life of a passenger. TC Shri Nagendra Mishra showed promptness at Dadar station in Mumbai to save the life of a passenger who had met with an accident while boarding a moving local train," the Ministry of Railways tweeted in Hindi after the accident.






In the tweet, the Ministry of Railways has also requested passengers to not take the risk of getting on and off the moving train.
