How often have you used social media to share updates and how often have those updates been passive-aggressive or targetted against someone? In a recent instance, a Twitter user allegedly had a small argument with his father after which his father posted a status in the context of the 2003 film 'Baghban'.

Ujjawal Athrav, a Twitter user, shared a screenshot of his father's WhatsApp status and said, "Had a small argument with dad last night, dad’s WhatsApp story in the morning."

The father's status which was in Hindi when translated to English reads, "I am slowly understanding why Amit Ji adopted another son in Baghban despite having four already."

The post went viral, it was seen by around six lakhs and fifty thousand people, while the likes on the post went as high as 18,300.

Netizens connected with the post on personal levels while sharing their feeling about the movie.

One user wrote, "I am sure I am not the only one who hates that film with all the blood cells in my body. God the gaslighting and emotional blackmail that comes with that movie."

Another user while commenting on the difference in parenting between the two generations wrote, "Many dads don't want to play second fiddle. It is probably the last generation where dads want to boss around. Our generation will know when to let go."

It seemed like a user related to the post word by word. She commented, "My mom said to me, tumhe paal posh kar bda krne ke baad pta chala log ek se jyada bacche kyun krte hain".

The majority of the other netizens praised Athrav's dad for his savageness and sense of humour.
