A squad of vigilance officials in Haryana's Faridabad nabbed a constable taking bribes in a buffalo theft case. But what happened next caught the investigation agency off guard.

Sub-Inspector Mahendra Ula was overpowered by vigilance department officials in a viral video of the incident. Officials corner the cop and try to retrieve the money he swallowed in an instant after being apprehended.

A police officer is restrained in the viral video. However, one of the officials tries to reclaim the money by placing his fingers in the officer's mouth but is met with resistance from the sub-inspector. Another person tries to intervene but is pulled away by a security guard.

According to officials, a police officer demanded a bribe from a man in order to prosecute a suspect in a buffalo theft case.

From Shubhnath, the victim whose Buffalo had been taken, the officer demanded Rs 10,000.

The victim had already given the officer Rs 6,000, but Shubhnath filed a report with the vigilance department before paying him the rest of the money.

The police officer was targeted by the vigilance cops, who set up a trap and caught him.

Earlier this month, a similar kind of video of a police officer positioned at a police post in Noida's Police Station Sector-58, reportedly accepting a bribe from a youth, went viral on social media.

The Noida police official can be seen in the video wearing a police uniform and asking for money. Another individual has also been seen counting rupees in front of the cop. The police also threatened the woman with arrest if she did not pay the fine.
