Jabalpur: A unique wedding procession was seen in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh where a cooler was installed in a rickshaw for the comfort of the family members of the groom amid the sweltering heat. A video of the wedding procession has gone viral on social media.


With parts of Madhya Pradesh experiencing heatwaves in the past two weeks, the groom's family made sure that the heat does not play spoilsport in their celebrations during the wedding procession.


The video shows the members of the wedding procession dancing to DJ music as a rickshaw fitted with an air cooler follows them. 


The cooler was connected to a generator and fitted on a rickshaw. The processionists were seen dancing while enjoying the cool air from the cooler. The video also shows passersby stopping on their tracks to have a glance at the unique wedding procession.

The temperature in Tikamgarh district has been hovering around 42 degrees Celsius for the last one week. Chhindwara, Ratlam and Nowgong and several other districts across the state also saw temperatures hovering over 42 degree Celsius.


However, the weather department has predicted light rain with thunderstorm in some parts of the state in the coming days.


Central and western districts of Madhya Pradesh may experience thunderstorm and rainfall. Under the influence of western disturbances, light scattered rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorms may occur over Madhya Pradesh during the next couple of days, the wether department has said.
