It is said that we humans get attached to things, memories and imaginations as if they are alive and so we develop all kinds of emotions for them. Movies and shows hold equal importance to us as their actors. The viewers on many occasions relate to the characters and their stories to themselves. And that’s how millions of Pokemon fans have lived their childhood. An imaginative world of creatures living with humans where nothing, but emotions are real. And now, the time has come for a new phase with Ash and Pikachu concluding their journey after 25 years.
Those who have seen it, know that they have grown up with it. No matter how old or young a person is, Ash Ketchum’s journey from Pallet town to different regions with his best friend Pikachu has been constantly entertaining viewers for over two decades. On March 24, Ash and Pikachu bid adieu to the show concluding the journey they began together in 1996, paving the way for a new season in April.
However, the saying that old is gold will always be true for the true Pokemon fans who have lived the show and the changes in it. The popular anime show has been so close to people’s hearts that as soon as Ash won the world championship last year in November, the internet just couldn’t keep calm with overwhelming joy as if every Pokemon lover had won. It was the final step to conclude a marvellously global hit to provide a satisfying end to a 25-year-long journey. It was never too much, never.
25 seasons with over 1200 episodes in total and several movies have surpassed all kinds of expectations that we could have asked for. And without Ash and Pikachu, the show would never be the same.
Not only Ash and Pikachu, but the ending also marked a conclusion for almost all the other important characters in Pokemon.
This includes Misty, Brock, May, Max, Professor Oak, Professor Elm, Red, Blue, Leaf, Gold, Chirs, Jasmien, Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny, Garry, Norman, Wallace, Lucas, Dawn and many others whom we just can’t mention in one go.
Netizens Express Sorrow Over No More Team Rocket In Pokemon
How much can someone love a character? And how much can someone like a villain? Pokemon gave the world, perhaps, the most loved and pure villains of its time. Jessie, James and Meowth. A dashing trio that took the hype of the show to another level. With the show moving towards a new beginning, Team Rocket has also disbanded giving a heartbreak to fans. Again, the new season namely Pokemon Horizons may have different Team Rocket or villains, but surely nothing can match the charm of this trio.
Their entry and the blast-off exit remained the same for the last 25 years and yet it entertained. To remind all of their grand-entry speech:
Prepare for trouble!
And make it double!
To protect the world from devastation!
To unite all peoples within our nation!
To denounce the evils of truth and love!
To extend our reach to the stars above!
Jessie!
James!
Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!
Surrender now, or prepare to fight!
Meowth!
That's right!
The terrific their entry used to sound and the buzz it would create. Though their speech has changed slightly throughout all the seasons, the essence has remained so. Interestingly, unlike the other characters, there has been rarely a major change in how team rocket looks. This maintained the beauty of their strength.
Sadly, Jessi, James and Meowth part ways as the show ends making the goodbye worse for us.
Those born in the 90s have grown up with all of them, not in their age but in the experience, transition, and experience. A part of our childhood has ended now when most of the fans are in their late twenties and this makes Pokemon much more special than any regular show.
It brought out the love between humans and animals in a beautiful way, although its prime focus of battling Pokemon was criticised. But it was the plot as Pokemons, being magic creatures, could only evolve if they fight. Furthermore, the journey is proof of determination, friendship, unity and nature as it continues to bind mankind.
Many have yet not seen the final episode as the English would be available in the near future, yet merely the news was enough to break the internet. Well, as it is said, our Ash and Pikachu became the Pokemon Masters finally and got what they deserved for their patience over these 25 long years.

To Be Announced |
The characters in the show never aged, but they showed the traits and emotions that people hardly get to grasp in their lifetime. It had an amalgamation of cartoons, stories, magic, thrill, adventure, friendship and love.
With the last episode of Ash and Pikachu, the box of another set of memories of our childhood has got a closing door. Without being real, they have touched us more than the actual beings. To cherish them, is what going to be the real deal for us 90s kids. The future generations might have the best but not Pokemon – the one which brought a revolution into the world of Japanese anime.
So yes, a heart full of gratitude. Thank you Pokemon, for making the childhood of millions of kids memorable.
