The video of the rare phenomenon was uploaded on the Facebook page of Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.
It shows a fire whirl stretching from the ground to the sky. The post said that it's created as cool air enters the top of the hot air causing a swirl similar to how a tornado is formed
It was reported that firefighters had the fire under control about 3:00pm. No injuries were reported.
A fire whirl also commonly known as a firenado is a whirlwind induced by a fire and often made up of flame or ash.
A firenado usually starts with a whirl of wind or smoke and may occur when intense rising heat and turbulent wind conditions combine to form whirling eddies of air.
