The unique method of dropping fish from plane into the lake is used by the wildlife officials for stocking fish into high-mountain lakes.
The video was shared on Facebook by the wildlife division along with the caption: "If you see flying fish at Utah's remote lakes, don't be alarmed!"
As the plane flies above the lake, an opening in the bottom of the plane releases the fish in a fountain-like sight.
The video, complete with captions along with the visuals, explained that since the fish are very small in size, they end up not getting hurt in the process.
The aerial method of stocking is much quicker and less stressful for the fish, explains the video.
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources tweeted to inform that the fish are tiny ranging from 1 to 3 inches in length, and this is why most of them (i.e around 95%) of them survive the fall.
