A deadly shooting incident early Saturday morning in northern Kentucky, United States has left four people dead and three others critically wounded. According to police, the suspect later died after a vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash.
The Florence Police Department reported that officers responded to a call at approximately 2:50 a.m. and discovered seven shooting victims at a residence in the city, news agency AP reported. Four individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were transported to a hospital in Cincinnati in critical condition.

Suspect Sustained Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound, Acted Alone: Kentucky Police
In a press release, the police detailed the subsequent events involving the suspect. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene, prompting a high-speed chase. The pursuit concluded when the suspect's vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a ditch. Authorities revealed that the suspect had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, AP reported.
"The suspect acted alone, and there is no ongoing threat to the public," stated the Florence Police Department, assuring residents of their safety. However, no further information has been released regarding the identities of the victims or the suspect, nor the motive behind the shooting.
Florence is a city situated approximately 12 miles (19 kilometres) south of Cincinnati, Ohio.
