Britan and United Kingdom have been working on the legal text of a deal, but it will still require the approval of both the Parliaments.
The task next for Johnson would be to get an approval in the British Parliament, particularly from Northern Ireland's Democratic Union Party.
The Democratic Unionist Party has, however, cast doubt on its sign off, saying they still cannot support it.
The Northern Irish party earlier released a statement saying they could not back proposals "as things stand", and -- after the Prime Minister's announcement -- said their statement "still stands", reported the BBC.
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker contended that it was a "fair and balanced agreement" and has urged the Parliament to support the deal.
