United States First Lady Melania Trump received a warm welcome as she entered the US Capitol for President Donald Trump's first address to Congress after assuming office for the second time. Melania received a standing ovation as members present at the Capitol cheered for her.


Trump began his speech by giving a special shoutout to the First Lady. Melania rose from her seat to acknowledge the warm reception, offering a gracious nod to the gathered lawmakers and guests.






Trump, while addressing the Congress, said "America is back". "I return to this chamber tonight to report that America’s momentum is back. Our spirit is back. Our pride is back. Our confidence is back," Trump said during the speech.


He added, "Within hours of taking the oath of office, I declared a national emergency on our southern border. I deployed US military and border patrol to repel the invasion of our country and what a job they have done! As a result, illegal border crossings last month were by far the lowest ever recorded...In comparison, under Joe Biden - the worst President in American history, there were hundreds of thousands of illegal crossings a month..."
