New Delhi: Thai government is running an intense rescue operation for bringing out the 12 young soccer players and their coach, who have been trapped inside a flooded cave since over two weeks now, deploying Thai Navy SEAL.

Here are the latest updates:

  • In the ongoing rescue operation of the youth soccer team and their coach, the authorities have managed to safely bring out eight young boys. Now four others and the coach are remaining inside the cave.


The team has been trapped inside the flooded cave for 16 days with oxygen level dropping dangerously in the second week.



  • Reports of the safe rescue of a fifth and sixth boy came in at around 5 pm on Monday.

  • Rescuers in northern Thailand on Sunday extracted four members the team. The 12 boys and their coach are trapped inside a flooded cave in Chiang Rai in northern Thailand.

As per the report, the Chiang Rai acting governor overseeing the operation confirmed that four boys had been taken to a hospital, saying that the healthiest were taken out first and that the next phase of the operation would start in 10-20 hours. Earlier, the Thai Navy SEAL confirmed that four boys from the soccer team had been rescued from the Tham Luang cave, according to its official Facebook page.



Authorities are racing against time to rescue the boys and the coach of the soccer team, who have been stranded in the cave for more than two weeks now. The operation to rescue the team out of the flooded cave began on Sunday morning, with expert divers entering the sprawling complex for the complicated and dangerous mission.
