Slovakia's longest serving Prime Minister Robert Fico on Wednesday was injured during an assassination attempt, after being shot at multiple times. As per media reports, Fico sustained severe bullet injuries, including a criticial one in the abdomen after four rounds were fired at him. The incident occurred outside the House of Culture in Handlova, situated 150 kilometres from Slovakia's capital Bratislava.
A BBC report stated that the Slovakia PM was shot in the abdomen, arm, and leg.
NEXTA, a European media house, posted the visuals of the first minutes when the PM was attacked, and also stated that he was shot multiple times including one to the abdomen and one to the head.

In the video, the injured PM can be seen being escorted to his car, which then speeds away as soon as he gets in.
After the attack, PM Fico was rushed to a nearby local hospital. From there, he was then taken to a major trauma center located in Banska Bystrica by a helicopter.
PM Modi Condemns Attack On Slovakia's PM, Wishes Him Speedy Recovery
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed "deep shock" at the news of Slovakia's PM H.E. Robert Fico being shot.
Condemning the incident, PM Modi tweeted: "Deeply shocked at the news of the shooting at Slovakia’s Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Robert Fico. I strongly condemn this cowardly and dastardly act and wish PM Fico a speedy recovery. India stands in solidarity with the people of the Slovak Republic."
As per Markiza Television, the Slovakian PM is reportedly in a serious condition and the operation is taking longer than expected as several of his organs were hit.
The Slovakian media reports also stated that the next few hours were critical for the 59-year-old PM, given his serious condition.
