Russian military on Thursday said that it had achieved its goal assigned for first day of Ukraine invasion 'successfully', news agency AFP reported.
"All of the tasks assigned to the groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for the day were successfully completed,” Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
Meanwhile, the South Ukraine region has said that as many as 13 civilians, 9 troops have been killed during the day.
