New Delhi: Moscow received guarantees from the US on its ability to trade with Iran as a part of ongoing talks to salvage the Iran Nuclear Deal, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday, reported news agency AFP.
"We received written guarantees. They are included in the text of the agreement itself on the resumption of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program," Lavrov told reporters during a press conference with his Iranian counterpart in Moscow.
The Russian Foreign Minister had called on the US earlier this month for assurance over the concern that sanctions by the US under consideration against Russia would interfere with fuel supplies to Iran’s only operating atomic power plant in Bushehr, reported Bloomberg.
Meanwhile, leaders of Czezh Republic, Poland and Slovenia reached Ukraine on Tuesday to extend their support to the war-torn country as Russian forces continuously advance towards the Uainian capital of Kyiv.

“The aim of the visit is to express the European Union’s unequivocal support for Ukraine and its freedom and independence,” Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said in a tweet.
Fiala will be accompanied by Slovak Prime Minister Janez Janša, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, and Jaroslaw Kaczynski, who is Poland’s deputy prime minister for security and the leader of the conservative ruling party, news agency AP had reported.
