New Delhi: Yulia Navalnaya, widow of Alexei Navalny on Monday made a serious accusation against Russian President Vladimir Putin, alleging that he is responsible for her husband's death. In a video address released on Monday, holding back her tears Yulia said, "Three days ago, Vladimir Putin killed my husband, Alexei Navalny.


Earlier, Prison authorities stated that Navalny passed away after losing consciousness during a walk in his prison colony located in Kharp, nearly 2,000 miles northeast of Moscow inside the Arctic circle, reported AFP.


"Alexei died in a prison colony after three years of torment and torture," Yulia Navalnaya remarked. Yulia Navalnaya, who was by her husband's side for more than a decade in his fight against Putin, pledged to continue the fight, as per AFP.






Navalny's Wife Vows To Find Truth Behind His Death


She vowed to uncover the truth behind her husband's death, asserting that those responsible would be held to account. "We know exactly why Putin killed Alexei three days ago... We will definitely find out exactly who carried out this crime and how it was carried out. We will name names and show faces," she said, as per AFP.


"The most important thing we can do for Alexei and for ourselves is to keep fighting, more desperately and more fiercely than before," she said. Yulia Navalnaya underscored the urgency of seising every possible opportunity to combat war, corruption, and injustice


The Kremlin has maintained that an investigation into Navalny's death is ongoing and criticised Western governments for implicating Putin in the tragedy.

Russian authorities have so far refused to hand over Navalny's body to his mother and lawyer, enraging his supports who have said it was a move by the "killers" to "cover their tracks."
