The Russia-Ukraine conflict has snowballed into a major international event that might have historical implications. As the United Nations Security Council held an urgent meeting after the Ukrainian president warned of an attack from Russia, Vladimir Putin ordered his forces to enter Ukraine to conduct a "military operation".


Since then, the NATO countries, including the US and UK have denounced Russia's approach towards Ukraine.
