New Delhi: The President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang died on Friday at the age of 61, reported the official Vietnam News Agency.
Tran Dai Quang was 61 years old reportedly. He passed away following a serious illness in Hanoi at the military hospital at around 10:05 in the morning, the state agency reported on Friday.
Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang died on Friday morning in a hospital in Hanoi at the age of 61, after a long time of illness, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
Quang served as State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from April 2, 2016 till Friday (September 21, 2018).
He was elected by to the post by the National Assembly of Vietnam and nominated by his predecessor Truong Tan Sang who retired from office.
Quang was married to Madam Nguyen Thị Hien who performs ceremonial functions as the First Lady of Vietnam.
