Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to the United States, on Tuesday met over two dozen thought leaders from various walks of life, including Tesla and Twitter owner Elon Musk, astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Nobel laureate economist Paul Romer. The meeting with Musk comes under the backdrop of longstanding talks of a Tesla electric vehicle manufacturing plant being set up in India.
PM also met other notable figures, including author Nicholas Nassim Taleb and investor Ray Dalio, Falu Shah, Jeff Smith, Michael Froman, Daniel Russel, Elbridge Colby, Peter Agre, Stephen Klasko, and Chandrika Tandon.

- Musk, who met PM Modi during the first leg of his US visit, said that he is a fan of PM Modi. Musk also said that he is incredibly excited about the future of India. He heaped praises on PM Modi and said that Prime Minister really cares about India and he is pushing for investments in India.

This will be the first time that the main Yoga Day ceremony is hosted abroad. Till last year, the primary Yoga Day ceremony was being held in India.
- PM Modi landed at New York's JFK Airport on Tuesday night. He is on a three-day official state visit to the United States. After the US trip, PM Modi will visit Egypt for two days.
