PM Modi Pips Biden, Albanese To Top Global Leaders' Approval Ratings, Union Minister Shares Report

PM Modi has a 76% approval rating, falling short of other leaders like the American President Joe Biden.

The Morning Consult firm has once again ranked Prime Minister Narendra Modi highest among global leaders in approval rating. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday shared the ranking on Twitter saying, "PM Narendra Modi ji remains the most loved, admired & trusted global leader."

PM Modi has a 76% approval rating, falling short of other leaders like the American President Joe Biden. However, PM Modi's rating, which was 78% in February, has slightly decreased.

With a high approval rating of 76%, PM Modi stands out among all global leaders, according to the most recent Morning Consult survey.

According to the approval rating, no other world leader is even remotely as popular as PM Modi. The rating places Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in second place, with an approval rating of 61%. As a result, there is a gap of 15 per cent between PM Modi and President Obrador.

In the Morning Consult list, Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is in third place. He has a global leader approval rating of 55%. Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, has a 49% approval rating at the same time. Meloni has been number four on this list. Like Giorgia Meloni, Brazilian President Lula de Silva has a rating of 49% and is ranked fifth on the list.

US President Joe Biden is at number 6 in the Global Leader Approval Rating list. Only 41% of Americans think Biden is popular.

With a 39% approval rating, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau has been ranked seventh. With an approval rating of 38%, Pedro Sánchez, the prime minister of Spain, ranks eighth, one percentage point lower than Trudeau.

On the 10th spot is Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz with a rating of 35%. Rishi Sunak, PM of Britain, is number 10. His approval rating as a global leader is 34%.
