A video of a Pakistani boy singing the famous song Despacito with his own skewed lyrics trended on Twitter for a short while on Thursday. The video which originally surfaced in 2018, is now part of the conversation because of a Twitter user who reposted the video during US Inauguration Day.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' Inauguration Day had a two-hour long telecast of a special show called "Celebrating America" which was hosted by Tom Hanks and featured stars like John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and others. During this broadcast, singer Luis Fonsi also featured where he gave a virtual performance along with DJ Cassidy singing Despacito.
Looking at the event, a Twitter user posted the old video demanding the kind of confidence which is required while singing Despacito. “Me in my living room jamming like I know the words to #despacito #InaugurationDay," John Romeo, a Twitter user, said in the caption of his post as it garnered over 43 thousand videos.
Song Despacito also assumes significance as it was one of the constant songs used during Joe Biden's US presidential campaign. Biden had at an election rally in Florida last September played Despacito on his phone.

Biden took oath as the 46th President of the United States of America at a scaled-back ceremony in the US Capitol building in Washington largely stripped of its usual pomp due to the Coronavirus and security concerns.
In his first speech as the US President, he vowed to defeat political extremism and white supremacy. Biden spoke of unifying the country and pledged that he will be the President for all Americans.
Sung by Puerto Rican singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, the song Despacito was shot in the historic neighbourhood of La Perla in San Juan and released four years ago which broke multiple YouTube records at the time.
