New Delhi: In the historic Singapore summit of former-rivals Kim Jong Un of North Korea and Donald Trump of US, both parties have agreed upon gradual dismantling of nuclear weapons in North Korea.
The much anticipated summit ended on a successful note with both leaders inviting each other to visit their respective countries.
"Kim Jong Un invited Trump to visit Pyongyang at a convenient time and Trump invited Kim Jong Un to visit the US," the North’s state-run KCNA news agency said.
Thye report added that the two top leaders gladly accepted each other's invitation, convinced that it would serve as another important occasion for improved DPRK-US relations, AFP reported.
AS per reports the state’s media KCNA also informed that Kim Jong Un had said that in order to achieve peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and realise its denuclearisation, the two countries should commit themselves to refraining from antagonising... each other out of mutual understanding.
While addressing the media after the summit Trump had mentioned a ‘Comprehensive document’ that the two leaders have signed, “we are signing a very important document”. Even Kim talked about the document saying “We had a historic meeting and have signed a very important document”.
Not revealing anything about the document, Trump had earlier said that “We have found a solution to a very severe problem”.
