New Delhi: At least nine people are killed after shooting breaks out at a high school in the central Russian city of Kazan, news agencies report. 


"According to preliminary information, two unidentified people opened fire. There are victims," news agency TASS quoted a source as saying, while the RIA Novosti news agency reported that a teenager was detained.

"Eight school children and a teacher were killed," a source tells the Interfax news agency. According to local media, two students died after jumping of the third floor window. Video of which was captured and shared on social media Telegram. 


At least 32 people have been injured, four of whom were hospitalized, according to TASS. One shooter was killed by the security forces whereas the other shooter a 17 year old has been detained according to media reports.
