Israel Defence Forces (IDF) spokesperson Jonathan Conricus on Thursday said that the scenes from the Kibbutz region looked like they were straight out of a zombie movie. Conricus added that the mutilated bodies of women and children were scattered everywhere. He also said that many body bags were evacuated from the Kibbutz region.

Conricus said, "The scenes are out of a zombie movie. It is a war zone...Many body bags were evacuated from that Kibbutz, including those of children and babies. We got very disturbing reports that came from the ground that there were babies that had been beheaded. It was hard to believe that even Hamas could perform such a barbaric act."

While talking about how Israelis were treated there, the IDF spokesperson said, "There were bodies scattered everywhere, mutilated, women and children that were handcuffed and shot, executed, houses torched and burned, and people who were either burned inside or suffocated."

The war between Israel and the militant group Hamas entered into the sixth day on Thursday, with attacks and counter-attacks from both sides. The ongoing war has led to a substantial loss of life. At least 3,000 people have lost their lives so far in the war.

The conflict began on Saturday morning when Hamas carried out a surprise assault on Israel in which the former fired 5,000 rockets into the latter and initiated a coordinated attack on the Jewish state from air, land, and sea. In response to this attack, Israel declared war on Hamas and it has been bombarding Gaza since then.
