The Embassy of India in Israel issued an important advisory for Indian nationals in Israel on Saturday according to which they have been asked to avoid unnecessary movement and stay close to safety shelters. The Indian Embassy has asked the citizens to remain vigilant and follow all safety protocols issued by local authorities. 






The Indian Embassy in Israel took to X to caution the Indian nationals living in Israel and wrote, "IMPORTANT ADVISORY FOR INDIAN NATIONALS IN ISRAEL. For details visit- Israel Home Front Command website: https://oref.org.il/en"


The Indian embassy in its tweet also attached the link to a document which would explain in detail what one can do in case of a missile attack.


Israel Ambassador to India Naor Gilon said, "Israel is under a combined attack from Gaza during the Jewish holiday. Both by rockets and ground infiltration of Hamas terrorists. The situation is not simple but Israel will prevail."


Rocket barrages were seen being fired upon Israel from Gaza as the Palestinian Hamas declared war on Israel. Sirens were blared in Jerusalem after the attack. A series of explosions were also heard along with the alarms.


As per the visuals that are doing rounds on social media, terrorists from Gaza invaded southern Israeli civilian cities and they are shooting anyone who is coming in front of them. 


Hamas breached the Gaza separation barrier earlier in the day and started a ground offensive in Israeli-occupied territories. 


As per a report in Reuters, a senior Hamas military commander named Mohammad Deif announced the start of the operation earlier in a broadcast on Hamas media. He urged the Palestinians across the nation to fight. Deif said that 5,000 rockets were launched and he added, "This is the day of the greatest battle end the last occupation on earth."
