India, China Border Standoff

Regarding the boundary question, Mao Ning reiterated China's stance that it does not represent the entirety of bilateral relations and should be managed appropriately. However, India has stressed that restoring normalcy in relations with China hinges on resolving the border tensions.

Both nations have held numerous diplomatic and military talks to address the standoff, with some progress reported in disengagement from certain points along the border. However, India continues to press for further disengagement in areas like Depsang and Demchok.

The border standoff, which began in May 2020, has strained relations between India and China, with trade ties being the only area of active engagement. Despite the challenges, both countries remain committed to dialogue and cooperation to ensure a stable and peaceful resolution to the border issue.
