A 28-year-old British man accused of murdering his wife and chopping her body up into over 200 pieces is due to be sentenced on Monday.
According to a report by BBC, Nicholas Metson from Shuttleworth House, Lincoln, has admitted to murdering his wife Holly Bramley, 26, in March 2023, two years after marriage, but has yet to reveal a motive. The couple was reportedly on the verge of separation at the time of the murder.
The victim’s mother said in court that their marriage had broken down, and that her daughter was subjected to “coercive control and manipulation” by the “evil monster”.
On March 24, 2023, the Lincolnshire police arrived at the couple’s apartment for a welfare check on Bramley. The air on the premises was found to be thick with the smell of ammonia and bleach, with police also finding bloodstained bedsheets in the bathtub and a towel on the kitchen floor, the BBC reported.

Dark stains on the bedroom floor were later determined to be Bramley's blood. At the time, Metson claimed that his wife was abusive towards him and had left the house with a local mental health group on March 19.
Remains Found Floating In River
Within days, a walker spotted human remains wrapped in plastic bags floating in a river. These were later determined to be Bramley's.
Metson is believed to have hidden the chopped body in his flat for a week before asking a friend to dispose of the body.
After committing the crime, Metson reportedly trawled the Internet for answers to questions such as, “Can someone haunt me after they die?” and “What benefits do I get if my wife died?" Metson had multiple previous convictions for offences against former partners.
He initially denied he murdered Bramley, but pled guilty last month, the BBC said.
