A few days ago in Lahore, Pakistan, there was a big explosion near the residence of Hafiz Saeed, a declared terrorist by the United Nations. Now it is being revealed that he was the main target of the blasts that took place. A Pakistani journalist has revealed that Hafiz Saeed was the target of the attack. He said that Hafiz Saeed was at his home in Lahore when the blast took place.


Speaking on the Dawn news program 'Zara Hat Ke' journalist Amjad Saeed Sahni said: "Hafiz Saeed is a high-value target, and we have come to know that his location is monitored by the Jail Department. The Jail Superintendent has the right to declare any place as a sub-jail."

Sahni said: “According to our information, Hafiz Saeed was present at his residence. Though his family is in denial, Saeed was the main target of the attack."


Hafiz Saeed is the founder of the dreaded terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). As a chief, he plays an important role in the operations and fundraising of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He is also the leader of Jama'at-ud-Da'wah.  


Hafiz Saeed has been declared a global terrorist by the United Nations, while the US has placed a bounty of US$10 million on his head. He is wanted in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack in which 161 innocent people were killed. 


The Lashkar-e-Taiba founder has been sentenced twice to undergo a jail term of 10 years, he is not being held in prison. He is continuously carrying out terrorist activities from his home in Lahore.  


Significantly, last week there was a major explosion outside Hafiz Saeed's house in Johar Town, Lahore. 3 people were killed in the blast, and 24 people including a police constable were injured.
