Soon after the news of Delhi police lodging FIR against Greta Thunberg came in, she took to Twitter and wrote "I still Stand With Farmers and support their peaceful protest.
No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that".
Delhi Police has lodged an FIR against climate change activist Greta Thunberg for her tweets regarding ongoing farmers' protests in India. Sources informed ABP LIVE that Delhi Police has taken cognizance against Greta over her multiple tweets which are being termed as inflammatory.
After international pop icon Rihanna tweeted in support of farmers' protest over internet shutdown, Greta Thunberg also tweeted to expressed solidarity as she wrote, "We stand in solidarity with the Farmers Protest in India".
Then she tweeted a "Tool Kit" for people to help in farmers' protest but as the tweet was soon deleted, a lot of unverified screenshots surfaced on Twitter alleging an international plan or conspiracy of sorts.
There were a lot of alleged screenshots of this document shared by Twitter users late Wednesday night. The authenticity of them has not been confirmed but the teenage activist was targetted and questioned over the same.
Now, the matter has been taken by the Delhi Police as they have lodged an FIR against the Swedish climate change activist who has again tweeted another " updated" toolkit on Thursday. details of the FIR are yet to be disclosed and a statement from the police is awaited.
