New Delhi: Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has changed his bio to 'Perfume salesman' as he launched his own perfume line called the 'Burnt Hair'. Ahead of the official launch, Musk had teased netizens with the idea in September.  On October 9, Musk posted a tweet along with a photo of the perfume bottle hinting at the launch.

Earlier on Wednesday, Musk tweeted, "With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?"

In another tweet, he wrote, "The finest fragrance on Earth!" along with the link to the website. A bottle of 'Burnt Hair' costs $100 (INR 8,400), the kicker, people can pay with Doge coins."

Usually, a perfume website would describe the notes of perfume or cologne, however, The Boring Company site just reads "The Essence of Repugnant Desire". "Stand out in a crowd! Get noticed as you walk through the airport," the website says.

While nobody really knows what the "omnigender" perfume actually smells like, 10,000 bottles of 'Burnt Hair' were sold within hours of its launch. However, those who have purchased the perfume will have to wait till the first quater of 2023 for it to be actually shipped. In India, people will also have to pay an additional Rs 3000 for shipping.

Celebrity skincare, beauty, perfume lines have become popular these days, Musk with 'Burnt Hair' seems to have joined Brad Pitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ashton Kutcher, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and several other celebrities who have their own perfume line.
