New Delhi: Videos showing clouds of smoke billowing from the mountains, broken pieces of the aircraft lying strewn on the ground have emerged on social media after a China Eastern plane with 132 passengers on board crashed in China's Guangxi region.
According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Boeing 737 aircraft was travelling from Kunming to Guangzhou when it "lost aerial communication above Wuzhou" in the Guangxi area.

After the crash, a ball of fire could be seen emanating from the site. State broadcaster CCTV reported that the plane crashed in Teng county near Wuzhou and "caused a mountain fire", Reuters reported.
ABP News has not been able to verify the authenticity of the videos.
ChinaAviationReview, an unverified Twitter user, released a video of what it claimed were the "last seconds of Mu5735." The footage, it said, showed the plane nosedive at a great speed before crashing into the mountains.
Another user shared the video, saying, "A China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737-800 operating flight MU5735 has reportedly crashed near Wuzhou in southern China. Initial reports say 133 onboard."
There are also videos from the accident scene, which were provided by Twitter user y1499003, showcasing images from Teng County, Guangxi.
Flight tracker FlightRadar24 showed the plane had sharply dropped from an altitude of 29,100 feet to 3,225 feet in the span of three minutes, before flight information stopped.
The last domestic fatal incident was in 2010, when a plane crashed in Yichun, Heilongjiang province, killing 42 people.
