New Delhi: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reportedly paid another surprise visit to China and has had long in-depth talks with Chinese president Xi Jinping.

The surprise meet comes ahead of the much- anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un.

China’s state media CCTV has shown footages of Xi and Kim taking stroll in the northeastern city of Dalian and holding talks, AFP reported.

The official Xinhua news agency reported that they met on Monday and Tuesday.

It tweeted:

Xinhua reported that the top leaders of the two countries had an all-round and in-depth exchange of view on China-DPRK relations and major issues of common concern in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.

Earlier, landing of an airliner from N Korea in the Chinese port city of Dalian amid tight security had led to widespread speculations about Kim's arrival, only to be confirmed after Xinhua News tweeted pictures of the meeting.

Recently Kim Jong-un met his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in in a historic summit becoming the first N Korean president to set foot in South Korea after the Korean war.

The meeting was third of its kind since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.
