New Delhi: Kabul rocked with twin suicide bombings on Wednesday as per reports, in which at least two police officials have been reported dead and several others are reported injured.

The bombers struck two police stations in the capital city of Afghanistan.

As per reports the first suicide bomber attacked a police station in the Western part of the city killing the two police officials.  Two more police officials were injured.

This was followed by a separate attack on a police station in Central Kabul. As per reports the gunmen had occupied a nearby building from where they opened fire at the security forces.

The Islamic group has reportedly claimed the first attack.

The attacks come just a week after the deadly suicide bombing last week in which nine journalists were killed and death toll went as high as 25.

Taliban and Islamic State have frequently carried attacks in Afghanistan.
